VS2012 designer (and using EF6 alpha2). Default colors are blue background and white foreground. When you change the color to a light color, sometimes the forecolor will change to black. For example "peach puff". (yes there's a color called peach puff.) But I've seen a few (yellow, for example) where a white forecolor is used for the text and is illegible.
